what is most or less time to be serviced if convicted of assault on a police officer?

simple assault is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 mos jail time and a $500 fine, but if it is on a public officer (meaning cop, deputy, ambulance driver, meter maid….) the charge bumps to a felony with up to 5 years in the pen and up to a $1000 fine. Nutshell…. don’t swing at a cop…
